Sangazure’s Winston |
1992 – 2001
Sangazure’s Winston, Winnie or Devil Cat for short, was truly the love of my life. He was everything I’d ever wanted in a cat. He came from Sangazure Cattery owned by David Goffredi and Michael Pajak. Winston was with me a very too short 8 years; but Winnie got me hooked on Burmese. After him, no other breed could compare. I always think of the line from the original Star Trek, when Harry Mudd is talking about Tribbles – he says: “It’s the only love, money can buy”… well, Burmese are my tribbles. To this day, some 15 years later, David and Michael still support me and mentor me, while we pursue our joint love for the Burmese breed. |
GP, RW Windflower’s Emma of KatHevin
Emma came into our lives in October of 1998. Emma lived in the lap of luxury as a plain old “house cat”; then, my girlfriend Mary Ann purchased a Chartreux. As part of the sales contract, she was required to show and “grand” her cat in CFA – she innocently asked me if I’d like to go with her – and maybe take Emma. I said – well, sure, Emma is show quality – let’s go! Well, the rest is history! Emma had a wonderful show career. She ended up 7 th best cat in Premiership in the North Atlantic Region, and BEST BURMESE Premier in the country, 2000 - 2001. |
CG Windflower’s Louie Looi of KatHevin |
Louie is the STUD around the house, and he looks at all the girls as members of his harem! He’s very gentle and sweet, and he doesn’t SPRAY… he’s a VERY good boy. Louie came to us from Windflower’s cattery. When I bought Louie, I had no intention of going into breeding – I thought no way am I ever going to be able to do that! But, his breeder, Carolyn Bullotta, said to me – “Don’t rush off and neuter him – he’s really a nice boy”. Well, I still had no plans to breed this guy – As the months passed, Louie grew into quite a nice young man. I toyed with the idea of “breeding” but always found an excuse why that wasn’t for me. Then, Carolyn suddenly passed away, at way too young of an age. Most of her breeding stock was spayed and neutered. I looked at Louie and thought – I have to try this breeding thing – for Carolyn. I just couldn’t let her lines slip away so casually. So, I decided we needed to get a girl for Louie!
Once we decided to actually TRY breeding, it wasn’t quite as easy to get started as you might think. Carl and Priscilla Eldredge were the first people willing to trust us with one of their girls. The more I get into this hobby, the more I understand why it is so difficult to get started. New breeders really have to show a commitment and a level of competency, before they can get recognized and validated. It’s tough, because breeding is an awesome responsibility – not to be taken lightly.
Not only were Carl and Priscilla willing to take a chance on us, we have become close friends and I cherish their friendship, and mentoring. They really love their cats and it is an honor to have a Burmystic cat as my foundation queen, GC Burmystic’s Brown Ginger Snap |

Ginger is our foundation queen. She’s a beautiful sable girl who keeps the entire house on its toes. Ginger was bred by Carl and Priscilla Eldredge from Groton, CT. Ginger is now a grand champion in CFA. She was 2 nd Best Burmese Kitten in CFA in 2004.
Ginger just loves to be a mom. She produces very beautiful kittens. She loves being a mom, so much, that ANY kitten may come under her watchful eye. Anytime another mom needs a break, Ginger is right there to help out – cleaning, washing or feeding the babies… sometimes, whether the other mother wants her help or not!
After Ginger, we got CH Appassionata Sydney of KatHevin. |

CH Appassionata Sydney of KatHevin was the second queen to join our house. Sydney is the sweetest girl in our home. She was bred by Kate Masaryk and Jane Nicholson of Richmond, VA. Sydney is a Champion in CFA. Syd is a good mom, too. She makes beautiful babies and is a very loving and attentive mommy. Syd is the cat I have to frisk guests for as they leave my house. She is such a lover, everyone wants to take her home with them.
Next came CH Austriana Katrina of KatHevin. |

CH Austriana Katrina of KatHevin, aka Trinie, is a beautiful sable girl. She comes from the finest Burmese lines. She was bred by Erika Graf-Webster of Reston, VA. Katrina is a champion in CFA; she just had her first litter and is doing well as a first time mom. Trinie is a very special girl. She loves her beef and will steel it from your plate if you don’t keep an eye on her. |
CH KatHevin’s Emilie |
Emilie is our first baby bred by the KatHevin Cattery. She is the result of a breeding between Windflower’s Louie Looi and Burmystic’s Brown Ginger Snap. She has her mom’s eyes and spirit and her dad’s earset and weight. Emilie is a sweet loving girl – not too demanding but always ready for a snuggle. And she is a talker, too! She always tells us about her day and you can carry on quite a conversation with her. She is a new mom, and, just like her mom, is fantastic! |
